Cultural glass 2022

Dear friends,

We are now well into the year 2022 and we are all wondering how it will go. Atelier 34zéro Muzeum has the answer!
We are pleased to invite you to our traditional cultural drink this Sunday, February 6, 2022 around 7:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to discover our cultural program for this beautiful year 2022 around a Polish vodka and a good plate of mushrooms.

We hope to see you all there,

Amicably and culturally,

The team of the Atelier 34zéro Muzeum

Aggression towards contemporary art

On Monday, January 24th, around 7:30 pm, an aggression towards the Atelier 34zéro as well as towards contemporary art was committed. An unknown person took advantage of the night to damage and set fire to one of our vehicles. This is a gratuitous act of vandalism against Atelier 34zéro but also against the commune and its inhabitants.
We already accused, in October 2021, a similar degradation on one of our cultural covers. It is truly deplorable to see such a lack of cultural democracy in our society but also a lack of respect for the work of others in the contemporary arts.
These repeated attacks will not stop us however! The message of contemporary art will be even stronger 💪

Jacques Talmar exhibition

In addition to the exhibition of the collection and the new sociological banners, the Atelier34zero Muzeum is also devoting a presentation to the work of the Belgian sculptor Jacques Talmar (1927-1997). Born in Brussels, Talmar was a prolific sculptor, working in bronze, terracotta, plaster and lead.

Innovative in his treatment of the human body, the curves of his creations can echo the works of Nikki de Saint-Phalle, Fernando Botero or Aristide Maillol. By emphasizing the opulence and roundness of the human body, Talmar admits in his work a play of passing curves and counter-curves, with a rare sense of volume. These obese bodies are the result of a satirical - even ironic - approach to the subject; the sculptor also likes to have fun with the French language, as shown by one of his sculptures entitled "Les trois grasses".

In addition to his career as an artist, Jacques Talmar was also a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode for 36 years. With this exhibition, we aim to highlight the work of a prolific local sculptor who passed on his passion and shaped several generations of sculptors.

Exhibition visible from 17/07/2021 to 13/03/2022

Adult ticket: 10 euros
